ZIA NURSING COLLEGE

Zia Nursing College Mardan (ZNC) is a project of Zia Institute of Medical Sciences (ZIMS) located in Mardan. Mardan is the second largest city of Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa Province. It is a dense populated District with population of 2,373,061 and is well developed in a way to progress in different sectors including education and health, which are integral parts of life.

The District is bounded by Bunner, Malakand, Swabi, Nowshera and Charsadda districts. District Mardan and the surrounding areas have quite sound literacy rates. The people of this area demands such type of learning process and modern courses which may lead to their better and bright future and can fulfill the requirements of today's world. They need a clear and transparent way of education system in Medical and Health Sciences that can improve quality of life for the individual & families, promotion of health, and has an impact on nursing practice. Presently, there are approximately seventy thousand nurses registered with Pakistan Nursing Council; however, according to the WHO demand, the country should have nine hundred thousand nurses by the end of 2030. The Board of Directors of ZIMS has approved the establishment of nursing college under Zia institute of medical sciences.

DHQ Hospital Mardan (and Zia Teaching hospital in future) shall serve as a teaching hospitals for the Zia Nursing College Mardan. In the light of above, Zia Nursing College Mardan will offer the following program:
